Resophonic new rebuilt neck

Hey friends this is my blog about building a neck for my Gibson Dobro.

My friend Joseph Yanuziello gave me step by step instruction on how to build it along with a great history lesson about resonator guitars etc.... Joe is located just outside Toronto, Ontario and has built and restored hundreds of guitars and other musical instruments since the late 70's.

I took all of the photos on this blog with my cell phone and missed a lot of the steps involved in the building of this neck. I am not very good at cell phone photography so I will only apologize once for any poor quality photos as the result of this.

I have been doing carpentry for most of my life and would now say my carpentry was all rough carpentry compared to this. I had no idea when I started this project how hard the work is and how much thought and expertise goes into it.
